basic information
the transfer evol can relocate (and transfer) energy to and from sources through direct contact. this is done by manipulating time and space to “hold” transferred energy within the evolver’s body.
absorbed energy is proportional to how much force the evolver can withstand. holding onto energy causes the original evolver to constantly feel the impact of the untransferred potential energy.
as an anhaussen class evol, the transfer evol is used to boost the potency of other evols. a transfer-bond must be established and first requires physical contact with the recipient of the transfer. if the bond between the evolver and the recipient is strong, the energy required to make the transfer is reduced and the potency of the energy is increased.
this evol primarily manipulates kinetic or potential energy. in theory, the transfer evol can also affect “emotions” and even “life force” with high-enough compatibility with its recipient. at “full” mastery, this evol can transfer energy through “time.”
history
created by gaia research center, unicorn team. originally an experiment to make a controlled chronos class evolver that could be used to significantly control the flow of time. however, further experimentation mutated subject 001 into an unstable organic. the mutation allowed the evolver to transfer energy directly to and from “deepspace tunnels.” this mutation also caused deepspace tunnels to exist in the first place.
members of the unicorn team could not reach a consensus on how to proceed with the experiment. subject 001 would eventually cause the deaths of the remaining team members that attempted to proceed with the experiment.
currently, the original evol’s identification has been wiped and any knowledge of utilizing the evol for its original purposes is only known by a select number of people.

if you bump into a fish, you can send the force back to him and then some.
if your food becomes cold, you can rub your hands together and transfer the heat to the food. (why don’t you just microwave the food again?)
if you stub your toe, it hurts twice as much because you’re caught off-guard and your evol doesn’t know to release the impact. are you still writing this down?
specialized
this evol can be used to speed up chemical processes by transferring energy to its recipient. at extreme levels, the evolver can degrade molecular structures and “age” the object of focus.
to do the opposite, the evolver may transfer the energy to “decay” their own cells.
at lab-controlled levels, the evolver can encourage stable growth in lifeforms. with dedicated focus and large amounts of energy (the evolver’s own chemical energy), the transfer evol can even stimulate healing (to an extent).
the specialized usage of this evol as a genuine anhaussen class requires immense focus. the recipient evolver must be in harmony with the transfer evol.
to utilize the transfer evol’s original purpose (transferring energy to and from an “unlimited” source, e.g; deepspace tunnels), the evolver should be ready to destroy and reconstruct their own body. alternatively, they can allow the transfer evol to automatically repair the body at an indiscriminate and unstable rate.
the automatic repair process will harness energy from surrounding sources indiscriminately. this process is highly dangerous and can promote cancerous growth in life forms or even result in death (such is the case for the original unicorn team).
battle
this evol rewards resistance and pain tolerance. direct hits can be absorbed and transferred back to the attacker with the force of the original impact and more.
facing this evol in hand-to-hand combat can be dangerous. one lethal blow is recommended to take down the evolver as opposed to multiple minor blows that can be “deflected.”
the evol becomes weak at long range.
evolver notes
proficiency
maki is proficient with the transfer evol, but is unaware of its original purpose. in the main story, he primarily uses it for its combat capabilities.
he actively avoids using his evol as an anhaussen class which is a detriment to furthering his proficiency.
subject 001 showed little to no proficiency in wielding the evol. subject 001 repeatedly required stimulation to activate the evol and would immediately reach critical condition within seconds or minutes.

personal
he prefers to use his evol only when necessary, and gets stressed out when he has to transfer energy to others. he dislikes revealing information about his evol and especially hates it when people ask about his status as an anhaussen class evolver.
of the times he’s had to use his evol to transfer energy to others, he has usually hurt himself or others due to their weak bond. this further contributes to his dislike of his evol.
his pain tolerance is extremely high. as such, it is difficult for him to correctly gauge how much energy he can transfer to others unless they are attuned to him. he cannot correctly measure pain and often transfers too much energy to recipients, harming them and himself in the process.
about deepspace tunnels
the transfer evol defies the first law of thermodynamics, resulting in the existence of deepspace tunnels. high-frequency energy waves that originate from these deepspace tunnels will corrode organic matter but can be harnessed by the transfer evol.
gaia research center was able to have have subject 001 open deepspace tunnels and “rip” energy from them. however, because of subject 001’s organic form, the tunnels would immediately destroy subject 001’s body without fail.

about recipients
rafayel has witnessed the “healing” properties of the transfer evol firsthand. out of all the previous recipients, rafayel has the most stable bond with maki and thus benefits the most from future applications of this evol.
he is naturally able to face maki’s pain threshold without issues.
sylus is one of the few people who can withstand unstable transfers. he and maki regularly work together due to the compatibility of their evols.
he is able to keep up with maki’s pain threshold by using his own evol.
zayne has also experienced firsthand the “healing” properties of this evol. however, due to their unstable bond, energy transfers will likely end with maki and/or zayne injured. because of this, both of them keep eachother at a distance.
xavier has come into contact with this evol while the two of them are on duty. their bond is too weak for any major notes.
caleb is able to neutralize this evol with his own evol. these two are guaranteed to injure themselves if paired together.
