I am Peruvian and consequentially Latino; those two are my core ethnic groups. Aside from that, I am Mestizo -Predominantly Indigenous-, as well as Tusán. This paragraph alone works as a TL;DR.
Small clarifications, I guess:
Both of my parents are technically Mestizo and overall mixed; my mother is of Chinese descent –Huáyì/Tusán- and my father is of Spaniard descent. I don’t hold strong family ties with either side; most of the engagement and cultural influence I received was during childhood and early adolescence.
I noted I am of indigenous ancestry, however I am entirely disconnected from indigenous culture and its people. I don’t even know from which specific community-ies- I descend. This isn’t too uncommon among Mestizos, but I do think it’s worth mentioning.
I am a native Spanish speaker. I am also fluent in English and all that stuff. I know basic Chinese but I still got a long way to go. That’s probably all; there are more details here and there but who Gaf.
