hwang in-ho, also known as the front man or oh young-il, was the winner of the 28th squid game in 2015, as player 132. after winning 45.6 billion won, he discovers that his wife had died. he trains under oh il-nam, becoming the front man from then on. in 2020, during the 33rd squid game, his younger brother, hwang jun-ho infiltrated the island in attempt to find his brother and bring him home. when jun-ho discovers who in-ho truly is, in-ho shoots jun-ho, and jun-ho falls into the ocean. in-ho calls a fisherman to take care of jun-ho and bring him to the hospital, and eventually keep his brother away from the island. in 2024, in-ho participates in the game as player 001, oh young-il. he befriends seong gi-hun and the others, acting as a teammate before ultimately betraying them at the end and faking his death, returning as the front man to finish his job.
