My thoughts on “misandrist feminists”, “man-hating feminism”, “divine femininity”, “I’m just a girl”, etc: I find self-proclaimed “misandrist feminists” incredibly hard to be around. (And downright insufferable). I say this as an intersectional feminist who has had HORRIBLE experiences with men. You’re allowed to hate your oppressors, but a carceral justice mindset will get you nowhere, and most of you do not actually contribute much to feminism or the thought of it outside of your man-hating posts. I do NOT believe in misandry though, don’t get it twisted, but if you hate people who are “male-centered,” then news flash: constantly talking about hating men and about wanting to kill them IS male-centric! If you hear about a man mistreating a woman and your first instinct is to say “UGH, men,” “kill all men,” “I hate men,” and other things like this then you are centering the man and completely pushing aside the woman, who is the victim.

I find it ironic and downright weird to call yourself a feminist if your feminism is strictly centered around hating men, because you are STILL GIVING MEN ATTENTION! You are STILL being male-centered. It’s not because of “not all men” or whatever, but because:

  1. I find that a lot of these feminists constantly bash on other women and create divisions within communities and allyships, and this just isn’t something I can like or agree with.
  2. Blaming misogyny and violence men commit against women as just “ugh, men” or “their biology” is bioessentialist and absolves men of the accountability and responsibility for their actions & crimes.
  3. Intersectional classism and other such issues are often ignored by you guys and I find it concerning how a very large majority of you are white women.
  4. Additionally, if you subscribe to that whole “girl math”, “girl dinner”, “I’m just a girl” bullshit OR “divine femininity” and that whole deification of women shtick, that’s also weird and that is also dehumanizing women! Making out ANY human to be a deity is stupid, redundant, and harmful. You are also not helping.

Feminism is about supporting and advocating for our fellow women and fighting for our rights and freedom. It is about dismantling and abolishing the patriarchy and abolishing the polarization of gender. Also, I don’t see why you’d want to agree with and continue to regurgitate ideas associated with and circled around in TERF/SWERF and bioessentialist circles, but you do you, I guess…? I think it’s super weird, though. We won’t get along, so I’d prefer it if you blocked me. You’re not helping anyone or coping with anything, it is short-term catharsis and all you are doing is being a complete asshole.

Also, I hold the belief that prison abolition is an absolute necessity for successful feminism, and I believe that the death penalty is unnecessary for any and all criminals. “But what about—“ no exceptions! NOBODY should be getting the death penalty.

I do not tolerate TERFs or SWERFs. Not fond of pronatalists or antinatalists either. Also not fond of people who hate babies & children, the elderly, or animals. Get out, and stay out!

My thoughts on proshippers, antishippers, taboo fiction, etc: I am pro-fiction, anti-harassment, and anti-censorship. I don’t like the company of antishippers, people who support harassment or cancel culture, and I certainly don’t get along with people who support censorship! LIKING SOMETHING IN FICTION DOES NOT EQUAL ENDORSEMENT. A lot of you make too many definitive statements that do not apply to everyone and pass it along as if it’s some new law, just so you have a morally righteous reason to hate people who “consume problematic media” and those who have unconventional interests.

Oh, also! If you call works “media” and say you “consume media” then I will not even touch you with a 10ft pole, I think you’re insufferable. I hate proship vs anti discourse because all it does is pit survivors against other survivors and y’all have gotten #TooNosy about other people’s medical history, trauma, and (harmless) coping mechanisms. If you tell people to “kill themselves” over fictional discourse, block me. I think you’re insanely weird. BEGONE!

As a general rule of thumb: I do not give a fuck about discourse! ♡ Most of you are not looking for discussions and debates but to start or jump on hate-trains and hate-wagons. It’s not my thing. Don’t involve me in discourse, I’m going into premed and I really don’t give a fuck nor do I have the time nor capacity TO give any fucks.

Also, if your first instinct when you dislike or hate a(nother) woman (and dare I say ANYONE, for that matter) for whatever reason is to call them a bitch, cunt, slut, whore, ho, etc, call them the f slur or r slur, or call them ugly, hideous, dirty, etc and judge them based on their looks instead of judging their words & actions then you are being misogynistic. Don’t fucking interact with me.
