im literally one only not creepy fan of toaru. i hate the show. so much. its taken over my brain for over 5 years and no matter how long i stop interacting with the media— its there. it lurks. and lurks. this is more considered a hatemail but genuinely this stupid fucking show saved my life! i cant way for the day i can go to japan (<- im not an incel. i feel like im an incel for saying this.) and get merch!! i actually need to start saving so i can buy figures next time i go to the city.
kamikoto is literally one of like three heterosexual ships i like… kinda crazy because they rarely interact in misakas anime :( (railgun season four coming.. soon…?) anyways— kamikoto is my dream relationship despite misaka hating his guts majority of the time. i cant blame her though, imagine chasing some guy then trying to zap him but he somehow cancels out your ability despite him being powerless?? then he calls you a bug zapper, gets his memory wiped, then calls you bug zapper AGAIN??? sigh theyre so cute though… i love shipping misaka with most of the other girls in the series (yurigems btw) even though kamikoto lowkey solos them. they have such a weird but good dynamic?? like. idk. no but they will be canon soon and believe me i actually met up with kamachi and he told me. (i say as hes been writing ts since 2004 and they still havent been canon ;-;) i just love them so much and ive dedicated a whole playlist, pinterest board and hopefully soon a whole shelf to them!!
okay. enough about them. enough about that moid touma. lets talk about misaka!(sorry i love touma but i love misaka way more) misaka is literally such a complex character but she gets watered down into some fan service, crybaby, tsundere when shes literally not. sure, shes a tsundere, but theres such a high expectation of her to keep all 10k of her clones a secret. mind you, shes dealing with their deaths, and trying to stop the whole thing from happening while dealing with the academic pressure! its insane. even afterwards she has to deal with their trauma of knowing her dna was used in the way she didnt intend and witnessing her deaths, alongside dealing with touma and his misfortune, not seeing her family, being sexualised, being targeted just for being strong (and just by misaki… toxic yuri~ ((im kidding, the whole misaki thing is for a reasonable reason))), and just everything ?! shes insane and she yet somehow hasnt gone down the depressive spiral touma did, and i think she deserves an arc where all the trauma shes endured finally catch up to her. NO, the whole sister arc meltdown does not count. shes had so much trauma after that too. ugh, shes so relatable too. her personality and interests are so similar to mine. i have loved and related to her since the first time i saw her!! its not in an oshi or yume way, but more in like a… self reflection way? shes my favourite character of all time, and shes so relatable. (when im in a sad space, my coping mechanism is thinking im her. yeah.) i am kinda excited bc her crashout arc, which i briefly mentioned earlier, may be coming soon! i am very excited. however. i wont be able to fucking read it. im an animanga only, and the crashout would probably come to the index manga in like 3 years… railgun would be 5 minimum…
